LOS ANGELES, April 18, 2026 – JM Eagle announced today that the 2026 JM Eagle LA Championship presented by Plastpro tournament purse has been increased to $4.75 million, making it the highest purse on the LPGA Tour outside of the major championships and the season-ending CME Group Tour Championship.

 

The announcement was made by Walter Wang, Chairman and CEO of JM Eagle, live on Golf Channel during Saturday’s third round of play.

 

The JM Eagle LA Championship presented by Plastpro, Los Angeles’ premier LPGA Tour event, is now in its fourth year and second year taking place at El Caballero Country Club. In the tournament’s first year in 2023, JM Eagle and Plastpro doubled the tournament purse from $1.5 to $3 million. The following year, in 2024, the purse was increased to $3.75 million.

 

The winner of the first-place prize at the JM Eagle LA Championship will now receive $712,500, up from $562,500. Major champion Sei Young Kim currently holds a two-stroke lead at 15-under par heading into Sunday’s final round. Two-time JM Eagle LA Championship winner Hannah Green, Suvichaya Vinijchaitham, Jessica Porvasnik and Ina Yoon all stand two-strokes back at 13-under par.
